Find out if Valplast Flexible Partial Dentures in Florham Park are the right solution for you.

What are Valplast Partial Dentures?

When you are missing a section of missing teeth, Dr. Gohard will advise you to replace them so that you can continue to eat, speak and smile normally. One of the options for replacing these teeth is with Valplast Partial Dentures. Valplast is an alternative to traditional partial dentures. Traditional partial dentures are usually made with metal clasps that can usually be seen. Not only does this make your partial dentures stand out, it actually is less comfortable to wear. Valplast partial dentures take the metal clasps out of the picture. Instead, the entire partial denture is made of a flexible base resin that matches your gums perfectly for a seamless natural appearance.

Advantages of Valplast Partial Dentures

  • Soft and Comfortable to Wear
  • Cost-Effective
  • Lasts a Lifetime
  • No Metallic Taste
  • Unbreakable
  • Looks Natural
  • Non-Allergenic
  • Minimal Tissue Irritation

If you are comparing Valplast to traditional partials, Valplast always takes the cake for what gives you the most advantages. For example, you will find that Valplast is more comfortable to wear. Most patients don’t even notice they are wearing it. In addition, it looks completely natural so nobody has to know that you’re even wearing partial dentures in the first place. Valplast is also more cost-effective. Since they are nearly impossible to break, you never have to worry about replacing them for the rest of your life. This means what you pay for them is all you will need to pay for the rest of your life. This is more cost-effective than traditional partial dentures that last for only 10 years before needing to be replaced.

If you have a metal allergy or find that traditional partial dentures irritate your gum tissue, this isn’t the case with Valplast dentures. They are made of biocompatible nylon that is non-allergenic. The partials snap comfortably into place around the teeth and gums. Since no metal is used, you won’t experience a metallic taste when wearing them. Enjoy a comfortable looking and natural feeling solution for your missing teeth.

Procedure for Valplast

To start, Dr. Gohard will examine your mouth to determine if she needs to pull any teeth prior to giving you your replacement teeth. If so, she will perform an extraction to prepare. While your gums heal, she will provide you with a pair of temporary dentures to hold you over. Once your gums are healed completely, our staff will take impressions of your gums to send to the lab. We will also give you a bite platform made of wax to bite down on. We use this to shape and size your partial dentures to sit perfectly in your mouth. The lab will send over a trial denture for you to try on and approve before your permanent set is sent. You will need to approve the size, shape, color, and fit of the trial pair. If something doesn’t look for feel right, this is when you will let Dr. Gohard know so that she can ensure the permanent pair fit and look perfect.

Once you have approved your trial pair, Dr. Gohard will let the lab know of any adjustments that need to be made for your new pair. When your new pair arrives, she will once again have you review the fit, color, shape, and size of your new Valplast partial denture. If necessary, we will make final changes. At A Healthy Smile Dentistry, we believe in quality and affordable dental care which is why we recommend Valplast partial dentures to our patients.

Valplast Care Instructions

Now that you have a beautiful new partial denture to complete your smile, you will want to do your best to take proper care of it. It’s important to still take good care of your existing teeth because dental hygiene is the best way to combat harmful cavities and tooth decay. Aside from brushing and flossing your teeth, you will also need to care for your Valplast partial dentures. To do this, we recommend investing in a good denture cleaner. At the end of every day, we recommend soaking your Valplast partial denture in denture solution for at least 15 minutes or overnight. Remove particles by rinsing your denture under running water.

We only recommend brushing them with a soft bristle toothbrush a few times a week in order to prevent the polish and surface from being affected. We also recommend rinsing your Valplast after meals. If you are not wearing the appliance, make sure it is soaking in water or a denture solution to keep it hydrated. With these instructions, you can expect your Valplast partial dentures to remain to look great for years to come.
